PostgreSQL Login Fails if Password not set to remember

I have two logins to a production database where one is a read-only user and the other is a full admin. I do not want to have the full admin password remembered so that I am more aware when I try to connect using those credentials that I should be very careful.

When I try to connect, I am prompted for the password but when I enter it and click Accept I receive error

fe_sendauth: no password supplied

If I check the option to save the password it works. However, I do not want to save the password.

  • Just wanted to note this has been fixed for a bit. There was an issue where the prompt for password was not passing the password along properly.
