Foreign Keys

Hi there,

I have noticed that it is not possible to create foreign keys with SQLPro for MSSQL.  They are also not scripted when a table with foreign keys is scripted by right-clicking on the table.

Am I missing something?

  • Noticed the same issue. It looks like one is able to remove a FK but not add one. Is this on the roadmap?

  • Sorry for the delay in response. It seems I overlooked editing/adding foreign keys for Microsoft SQL Server. I'm working on this now and should have it available within a couple weeks. I have it available for other database providers so I am able to reuse most of the UI and need to implement the logic.

    • Kyle Hankinson just to note, this has been available for roughly six months or so.

Just purchased the studio to see if this unlocked the feature, but it seems to still be missing? Was this ever added?

  • I don't believe this is available yet as I am too experiencing the issue of not being able to double click on FK to see information on it.

    • Craig Southcoat Please make sure your using the latest version as foreign keys have been available in the alter table UI for awhile now. See below:

Thank you for your response. Forgive me for being stupid but I'm using SQLPro for MSSQL not SQL Pro Studio....does that make a difference?

    • Craig Southcoat nope, just make sure you have the latest version. Are you able to bring up the alter table dialog and see the foreign keys?

Yes I have managed to find it. Thank you for that. I assumed I just double clicked on FK but now I know I can use the alter table. Thank you so much
